In October 1967, at the age of 21, His Majesty the Sultan became the 29th ascendant of the world’s oldest continuously reigning royal line. Assisted by the Religious, Privy, Cabinet, Succession and Legislature councils, he remains close to his people, and is devoted to supporting the cultural heritage and development welfare of a nation wreathed in one of the most bountiful natural habitats on earth.
