... Welcome Greet ...

Introduction to Brunei Darussalam

For more than 500 years, Negara Brunei Darussalam (literally “Abode of Peace”) has tenaciously preserved a political and cultural identity that still embodies all the pageantry befitting a nation whose sovereignty once encompassed the whole of Borneo and parts of the Philippines. Indeed, the word “Borneo” is an adoption of the name “Brunei”, by which the entire island was once known.

The country is comprised of four districts: Temburong, Tutong, Belait and Brunei-Muara. About 109 kilometers south of Brunei’s riverfront capital, Bandar Seri Begawan, lie the towns of Seria and Kuala Belait, where the nation’s oil and gas industries are based.

Brunei is a Malay Muslim Monarchy, and is ruled by His Majesty, Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mui’zzaddin Waddaulah, the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam. In October 1967, at the age of 21, His Majesty the Sultan became the 29th ascendant of the world’s oldest continuously reigning royal line. Assisted by the Religious, Privy, Cabinet, Succession and Legislature councils, he remains close to his people, and is devoted to supporting the cultural heritage and development welfare of a nation wreathed in one of the most bountiful natural habitats on earth.

Brunei Darussalam is perfect place for tourist attraction because the Sultan is well-known internationally and regionally, and it is an added advantage for Brunei. The safety that we provide in Brunei that is low crime rate is suitable for families with children vacation and the safe and secure environment. Brunei International Airport can be use as regional hub and stopover destinations for long haul passengers. One of the main attractions also is the rainforest that are relatively unspoilt and accessible.
